Did you know the Narragansett Regional High School participates in the American Mathematics Contest?
43 students at NRHS participated in the 64th annual American Mathematics Contest 12 on Tuesday, February 5. The students competed for local, regional and national student and school awards. The contest, which covers high school mathematics, is given in participating schools. Its purpose is to spur interest in mathematics and develop talent throughout the excitement of friendly competition at problem solving in a timed format.
Last year, over 220,000 students from 4,200 schools participated in the American Mathematics Contests, which are sponsored by The Mathematical Association of America. Our students results will be sent to us in few weeks.
