Well, Spring is almost here and that means it’s time to start prom dress shopping!
How many formal dresses, prom dresses, homecoming dresses, bridesmaid dresses, short, long, strapless, sequined, 80′s throwback (yes, it’s my era I had to say it) or anything that you have been waiting for that right moment to wear….and right…that moment never comes. How many times have you moved them to another closet or a place in your basement or maybe even from house to house because you just don’t want to get rid of it for no reason? Well…..I have the perfect reason to dig out those dresses and give them away for a great cause.
Let’s face it, any kind of formal dress is not inexpensive and in these economic times it’s making it harder for families to spend money on things that are probably not going to be worn again. You want to give your daughter that once in a lifetime moment at their Junior or Senior prom to feel beautiful and special and yet, not break your bank. So, this year the National Honor Society is sponsoring a prom dress drive to help with just that!
The flyer below gives all the details and I will also be helping to collect dresses from the community. So, what do you say neighbors? How about going through your closets and rounding up the beautiful dresses you or your daughter won’t wear again and donating them to the school? The dresses need to be gently used free of rips or tears and should be clean. Feel free to bring them to the high school yourself or I will be happy to come and collect them from you and bring them to the school for you. Either way, making more space in your closet and donating a dress for another girl will be a win, win for everyone.
