Tuesday Girl is thrilled it’s Thankful Thursday and today it’s all about home!
If you click on the word HOME you will see an abundance of definitions for a building to park your behind after a long day, short day, sunny day or any day. But, really, is it just a building? I think not and today I am thankful the dwelling place I call home is about our family that lives inside everyday, our family that comes to visit and the great friends who show up always willing to share a laugh, a meal and share out lives that I am blessed to call family. I am also thankful for the place I called home when I was a young girl to the time I graduated that my parents still call their humble abode. I can always g back and see the through all the updates and renovations to a time that I brought home all the strays along with my friends, the backyard where many memories were made, the bedroom that I share with my sister, the dining room where we all shared a meal eat evening and I can hear the stories being told and the love being given. That is the house that built me and who I am today. I am grateful I came back many years ago to live in the hometown with all the wonderful buildings that also help raised me to to have a values, an education, a love for history and a love for this community.
Here is a video of my most favorite song as it represents all I could say in addition to the above and it helps put my job as a Realtor into perspective when I am working with buyers and sellers. It’s never about a building, it’s about the people that make the building a HOME.
