It’s your Tuesday Girl reporting to you from her back yard with an approaching snow/rain/squall or in other words just all around New England weather!
I was coming home today from showings and a listing presentation and of course I am planning in my head what I need to do next, what I have to finish today for work, laundry, household chores and shopping AND… ~ I look up and there was the most spectacular sight with our wind turbine against an almost black sky with the sun shining to it’s back which made it look illuminated. I thought it was beautiful enough to run in and grab my Flip and take a shot to share with you. The camera honestly does it no justice and by the time I got back outside the sun had slipped behind the blacker clouds and the moment was not quite the same.
However, I got to thinking that after all these months I would become used to the sight of the wind turbine and just not really “see” it any longer. This, I could liken to living near train tracks or a church where the bell chimes on certain days and times or living on a heavily traveled roadway ~ we become complacent and we become almost numb to hearing and seeing these sights. Thank goodness the wind turbine still holds a great fascination, curiosity and awe for me. I look in the morning to see if it’s spinning or how the sunrise looks against it or which way it’s facing. When it’s standing still, it reminds me of majesty and pride and confidence. When it’s spinning it reminds me of how we can harness the power within ourselves to greatness. I love our wind turbine and that we have set an example for others of how teamwork can come together for the good of all. Yes, that is definitely in simplistic terms, but we have John Leclerc to thank for our turbine and I am grateful my children are learning and seeing what a difference “harnessing power” can make in our lives.
Here is a brief video of Tuesday Girl’s thoughts on yesterdays snow, today’s sky and Templeton’s confident and powerful wind turbine.

I am in awe everytime I go by the two wind turbines at MWCC. It amazes me what we can do with new technology. As time goes by, there will be smaller and smaller wind turbines as the technology grows. Look how huge computers were at one time (main frames) and now all that same information you can get onto a microchip that isn’t even 1″ x 1″. It’s amazing to me.
