I just wanted say how thrilled I am that my Tuesday in Templeton Facebook Page and also my Tuesday Girl Realty Page have been  informative and entertaining for all of you.

Below is the original blog and I am still grounded in my belief that I live and work here and I really want to know YOU, my neighbors.  Tuesday Girl loves real estate, our local history, what’s happening around us now and what our future holds.  Thanks for making me a part of your life and checking in on me every now and again ~because there really is…No Place Like Home!!

Hello, I am Diane Haley Brooks of Towne and Country Realtors and I am also a resident of Templeton.  I am a Realtor servicing Templeton and the surrounding towns.  My homebase is here and our offices are in Leominster and Fitchburg so I travel almost anywhere surrounding there also.  I have over 20 years experience in the Real Estate business from lending to homeownership counseling and now helping my clients buy and sell homes.

Templeton World War I Monument 90 Years Old

I am the name and face behind the Facebook FanPage of Tuesdays in Templeton and also this blog of the same name.   I have lived in Templeton since I was 8 years old and it is a great place to call home.  I have so many great memories growing up here of friends, family, school, church and of hosting tea parties at the historical society with costumes and all~and  to think they still do that is just so awesome!

I am now raising my family here and hoping they make some great memories too.  I moved back to Templeton almost 8 years ago and so much had changed, the high school morphed into a middle school too, the Ryder farm is now Cook Pond Estates, there are new subdivisions in places we used to hang out, we have a condominium complex to name just a few, but the piece I miss the most is knowing my neighbors.  Don’t you remember coming home from school, racing to do your homework so you could go outside to play with all your friends?  Everyone knew everyone on the street and that street could go for miles and you STILL knew everyone…well, it’s not quite like that anymore for my children.  Ok, that’s the “who” …~

As your hometown Realtor I want to get to know my neighbors and that includes the local businesses that I choose to support.  So, this is the “why” of the blog…

I thought to myself how could I get to know my neighbors and local businesses and also provide a benefit for them?  Well, I am into social networking as a way to promote my business and perhaps I could blog about them and help them promote their business?  GREAT IDEA~so I am going out to meet and greet business owners and find out who they are, what they do and sell/make/provide for services and what they love about their business.  Now, because I love to write, on Tuesdays (hence the name) a different business will be featured here on the blog, on the Tuesdays in Templeton facebook fanpage and also my own personal page as a means of advertising for them.  I plan to also spotlight our historical buildings, happenings in and around town, perhaps some residents that would like to share stories with me and anything else around the town to help me get to know my neighbors.

I also have a blog for my real estate business Welcome Home and there you will find blogs about how I like to serve my clients, links to informational sites and my co-workers real estate websites and more.  I hope you will find some time to visit there also!

On the Tuesdays in Templeton facebook page I have posted trivia, posts on the discussion tab, some photos (been too rainy to take to many), and tidbits of history here in Templeton.  Please join us on Facebook so I can know more of my neighbors and share your thoughts~I’d really enjoy that.  There is a page for Memories that you can post about memories you have from around town~please write as I love to read too!!

And don’t forget when you visit a local business you may have heard about or read about via Tuesday Girl ~ tell them I sent ya… oh and tell them I said hello too!!

Subscribe to this blog so you can be updated with what’s happening and you also can get to know your neighbors and perhaps some new places to visit!!
